I started on my own business growth journey after being made redundant from my job whilst on maternity leave with my eldest son. I decided to use the money from my redundancy to start up Building Business and have never looked back! Some people decide they want to run their own business to make lots of money, but for me it was about doing what I love helping people whilst having the flexibility to raise my family at the same time.

Over the last two years, I have been in a position of growth myself, going from just me to employing four people to help in the business. I am really proud of this achievement, not only because I have been able to give four people jobs but because we all work together as a great team, bouncing ideas off each other and all striving for mutual success.

The great thing about working within a team is that it gives us an opportunity to grow our consultancy work. I love this! There is nothing better than going in a business to help them with planning, business development, training and marketing. Seeing their growth is a measure of success for us.

I believe that no business is ever the same but when we get to know our clients and their business well, we can help them to achieve their own specific targets and goals.

Recently the team and I have spent a lot of time creating several business growth packages that we are really excited about. The idea was to create something affordable for businesses that worked in a similar way to a gym membership but helped to keep their business healthy and reach peak performance.

The packages are as follows:

Business development – For a monthly fee of £75 a month, the Building Business team can become an extension of your own team and work with you to review your products, services and activities and scope out any opportunities for business development.

Bespoke consultancy – Working with businesses on specific projects or to achieve a particular goal, this package sees the Building Business team act as consultants for the business, creating growth plans and strategies that are completely bespoke to your organisation.

In-house training – We can provide a full suite of workshops and masterclasses covering all areas of business and can deliver these at your place of work.

Working closely with a number of financial providers enables us to also advise on funding opportunities available and help businesses to apply and secure the finance they need to grow.
